Questions and answers
Short answers to what teachers, learners and parents usually ask.
For teachers
Is everything really free?
Yes. No fees, no sign-up and no advertising. Everything is shared under a Creative Commons licence, so you can use it in class.
Can I use these lessons in my class?
Yes. Every lesson works on its own, so you can pick just the one you need. Where a teacher kit exists (slides, a short guide, activity sheets), it is shown on the course page.
Do students need the internet?
The videos need an internet connection. Slides and activity sheets in the teacher kits can be downloaded and printed where they are available.
What equipment do the STEM lessons need?
Each course lists what it uses. Many start with free simulators such as Tinkercad or Scratch, so you can begin before buying any hardware. Kits like micro:bit and Arduino are sold by local electronics shops and online.
Is there a certificate?
The lessons are meant for learning when you need it, rather than for collecting certificates.
Can I share or adapt the material?
Yes, for non-commercial use. Please credit Timeless Lifeskills and do not sell it.
Can there be a workshop at my school?
Workshops happen occasionally, mostly in rural schools. Write to info@timelesslifeskills.org with a little about your school; it may not always be possible.
Are the lessons in Hindi or English?
Both. There are more Hindi videos, and newer ones can also be played with English audio dubbed by YouTube: tap ⚙ Settings, then Audio track.
For learners and parents
Do I need to sign up?
No. Your progress is saved only on your own phone or computer.
Where do I start?
Anywhere. Use Explore to filter by language, topic and format, or search for what you need today. Every lesson makes sense on its own.
Who is this for?
STEM 2.0 lessons are mostly for school students. Know thyself and AI as your personal tutor are for older students and adults. The Explore page lets you filter by who a lesson is for.
How do I change the language of a video?
In the video, tap ⚙ Settings, then Audio track, and choose a language. This works on newer videos where YouTube has added dubbed audio.
Is it OK to use AI for studying?
Yes, if AI helps you think rather than thinking for you. The AI lessons show how to ask it to quiz you, explain things in simpler words and check its answers. Many AI tools have age limits, so ask a parent or teacher first.
Who makes this?
Timeless Lifeskills is a personal, not-for-profit initiative by Atul Pant, based on workshops in rural schools in India since 2010.
How can I suggest a topic?
Write to info@timelesslifeskills.org or reply on the WhatsApp Channel. Suggestions are welcome, though not every one can be made.
